Mt. Bruce wildlife sanctuary.

Mt. Bruce is the only sanctuary in the world to have a white KIWI!! It was really exciting to see one finally. Kiwi's are nocturnal so they are hard to find in the wild. I recently found out that there is no native mammal from New Zealand. So basically this is a bird paradise. But now since us humans had to bring over cats, dogs and farming animals the birds might not have it as easy.  Anyways, here are some pictures of the birds. We weren't allowed to use flash to show the Kiwi's so the big thing in the middle of the picture is the bird.

Brown KIWI!!!!

White KIWI!!!

Rachele and I obviously were in a psychedelic state of mind

The whole time we were there it was raining hard and our shoes were soaked!!

On the Road again but up Taupo!

It was sad leaving Wellington. You could not get to know the city in only two days. But the time I was there I enjoyed it a lot. I want to go back and venture downwards to the South Island. It was sad that  we had to leave our fellow traveler Nyomi, but Rachele decided to come up with us to Whitianga which was awesome. But yeah here are some early morning pictures of the Road back to Taupo. Mt. Doom was actually more visible and had snow on the top which was really cool.

Last photos of Wellington

This is a really awesome museum that we went to. We weren't allowed to take pictures inside. They had a huge squid on display and it was creepy looking!!

Weta Cave

Weta Cave is known for its props making. It made the props of all the Lord of the Rings films and the Hobbit films. We were so stoked about going but when we got there they were shut down for the week. It was pretty sad. The people felt bad for us so before they left, they brought out miniatures from the film Masters and Commanders that we got to hold. So all in all it wasn't a bad day. We also found an old movie theater with some cool things in it.

Wellington!

Sorry I have been on hiatus the past few weeks. I have been extremely busy. I am now co-writing, co-directing and doing the cinematography for my 16mm film. Not to mention I have to make a professional DVD and that shit is hard. Sorry for the swearing, but I tell it like it is.

I digress, so here is Wellington this was my favorite city in New Zealand. It reminded me of San Francisco and I have a lot of fun memories from this place. Mostly, the crazy bars that Alex, myself  and our new friends Nyomi and Rachele went to.  We all decided to go up to the top of a hill in a cable car and walk around.

This is actually very helpful. But the problem I have is that I look to the right of the ground!

Rachele is stoked about her COFFEE! This is how we all should feel about drinking coffee.

So bagel places are not common in Melbourne so I WAS STOKED TO FIND A BAGEL PLACE!!
