On the way to Wellington

These are some of the photos Alex and  I took on our way to Wellington, leaving National Park. The snow started falling on the mountain and we woke up early enough to see it. Along the way we stopped at a cafe that was also a farm and got to see Goats, Lambs and a type of Alpaca that looks like a cross between a Sheep and a Giraffe. We finally made it to our hostel at Wellington by 3pm and they had a Lord of The Rings Mural!

So this is the waterfall where Gollum eats a fish and I think rolls around in the water and talks to himself.

Here is some pictures of the mountain! It was really hard to capture the mountain on my camera because I couldn't manually switch the aperture.

On the way to National Park

After the caves all of us were on our way to the next over night stop National Park, you might know it as Mt. Doom, from Lord of the Rings. I took some pictures along the way I absolutely love how green the hills are!!!

Waitomo Caves

Alex and I decided to go black water rafting in a cave! If you are afraid of the dark, claustrophobic or don't like being far below the surface, this would not be something you want to do. I am not afraid of anything so obviously I was excited to do it! The coolest thing about the caves are the glowworms. You can only find glowworms in New Zealand and Tasmania! It's really cool to see them when its dark, it looks like the glow in the dark stars that you hang on your ceiling. Our whole bus did the 2 hour tour including our driver! There were waterfalls in the cave that we had to had to fall backwards in our inner tube to pass it! We also had to go down a water slide in the cave which was crazy! I didn't think you could make a water slide in a cave.
